Description
For many years, Gravina Sotterranea has offered excursions to the most fascinating and characteristic places in the city’s underground: tunnels, cellars and ravines where for centuries man has let wine ferment and grain store.
A walk in the heart of the old town, in a dark and fascinating world that silently preserves secrets and legends, unique and authentic scents and that holds on its shoulders what man has built over time.
The most complete tour lasts about half an hour and includes several underground sites that often do not communicate with each other; it is also possible to do a shorter tour (45 minutes) that includes a partial visit of the whole itinerary.
“The starting point is in Via Meucci 10, in the old town centre of Gravina in Puglia. Itineraries usually start in the morning at 10.00 a.m.; in the summer afternoon at 4.00 p.m. and at 3.30 p.m. in winter.
