Madonna della Stella Church

The church was so named because of the presence of a silver comet on the cloak of the Virgin Mary depicted here. The beauty and gentleness of this image of the Madonna and Child made it wonderful to all those who came here to ask for grace.
It is known that the cult of the Virgin is based on a pagan fertility cult: in fact, the church, because of its position, was originally used as a pre-Christian place of worship, as shown by the animals carved on the walls.

If you walk over the bridge, on the opposite side of the ravine, you can visit Madonna della Stella Church. To reach it, let yourself be guided by the bell tower that rises from the plateau.
